Underglaze Transfers

Presented by Betsy Wisbon

Adding detail and decoration

Underglaze transfers are a great way to add colorful and intricate detail to your ceramic pieces. Tissue transfers, slip transfers, and DIY screen printing are three different methods that when combined with glazing will make your pieces fun and unique.

In this workshop you will learn to apply tissue and slip transfers, as well as learn a DIY screen printing method to create your own underglaze transfers. Finished products will be available to see how these transfers can be combined with glaze to create fun, colorful, and unique pieces. You will also learn where to buy a variety of transfers, how to have them made, and how to make your own.

A variety of transfer materials will be available for hands on application practice, but you are also encouraged to bring any transfers you may want to apply to your unfinished pieces.

Saturday, August 6, 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
